Aram's: Friendly staff but hard to swallow prices. Aram's is where you go if you have money to burn. I was charged $512 (this, after my coupon) to replace the starter on my 1999 Lincoln town car, quite a large sum of money for a repair that generally takes around an hour (216.00 for the starter, the rest in "labor"). Overall, I was disappointed by my experience given Aram's mostly positive reviews. Instead of taking out on the employee and trying to haggle/beg for a discount, I'd rather share my experience so that others can be informed when choosing a mechanic. Personally I will be taking it into account next time I need a repair.
Aram"s Automotive Repair Center have always encourage feed back from our customers. As a follow up reviewed your invoice and found the charge for the repair was fair given the nature of the repair, diag, labor and parts, the car came in with a no start condition first we had to diagnose why the car would not start, then we found that the starter was faulty due to age & oil contamination from oil leak, so in a effort to save you money and get your car starting we cleaned & degreased to remove oil so that the new starter would last longer, we offered a starter replacement and clean & degrease under carriage of engine, so the total repair cost included diagnose concern, clean & degrease under carriage, cost of stater & labor, safety inspection, topped off fluids, and sales tax($512.00 after discount.) with a 2 year & 24,000 mile nation wide warranty. At Aram"s Automotive Repair Center strive to provide EXCELLENT customer satisfaction, value, while keeping a balance of price verses quality.
