Brakes seem mushy after 900.00 of repairs, also was charged 450.00 to change 4 spark plugs and the invoice said a diagnosis of 173.00 was part of that fee.
Russ, I reviewed your invoice with Aram this morning and noticed that I wasn't descriptive enough about what your diagnosis covered. Your vehicle was test driven twice to properly identify whether a current misfire was happening, and on what cylinder(s)? This needed to happen as your fault code was not a current code, indicating an intermittent fault. Your fuel trim numbers were also monitored at this time to properly evaluate fuel system condition. This takes time, that is what we are billing for. The labor time for the spark plugs is straight book time and parts. The spark plugs for your vehicle are iridium conductor, these are not nickel conductor and therefore cost more. The manufacturer uses this technology to increase service intervals, and occasionally replacing them with the incorrect spark plug leads to false misfire codes being stored. The brakes should not feel soft and we definitely need to inspect to see if we missed something or are we having a failure somewhere else in the system. Remember, the seal to the fluid reservoir was falling apart and plugged the line to the R/R wheel cylinder. It is possible that debris may be stuck somewhere else now too. Aram has advised me to issue a credit of $50.00 towards your account for future use. Again, I apologize for not further describing what was checked during diagnosis and look forward to getting your brakes feeling normal again. Billy
