Brought my Jeep Wrangler in for oil change and smog test. Did not pass smog test because the check engine light was on. The check engine light was not on prior to taking vehicle in, and it ran rough after they performed my service. It seems a little suspicious to me.
Jeff, the vehicle did NOT fail the smog test as it wasn't performed because check engine light was on. The vehicle had a misfire the moment that the technician started it, to bring into the service bay. We offered you a diagnosis to locate the source of the misfire and you declined. You stated that you were tired of putting money into the vehicle, as it has over 270,000 miles, and chose to take the vehicle as is. We have been servicing this vehicle for over 2 years, with no previous issue. We are not sure what you are implying, but encourage a second opinion if needed. If it it determined that we are at fault, we will gladly take care of the issue. Please let us know if we need to help, and thank you again for your patronage.
